Camille Rousseau is a French artist, photographer and sculptor based between Amsterdam and Paris. She studied graphic design then specialised in film and 3D animation in in Arles south of France, before completing an MA communication and design at Central St Martins. Her work explores interplay and nuances connecting sound, movement, gestures and textures, offering an interpretation of association between these elements in the form of an improvised and dynamic visual language rooted in repetition and flow. She draws inspiration from the continuous nature of motion, as well as patterns and contrasts existing within organic sequences and lapses of time. Without formal musical training and guided by rhythm and the tempo of emotions. Camille Rousseau creates a musical vocabulary on carbon paper which serves as a blueprint from which musical expression is created on different mediums and with the use of varying materials. She has covered a wide variety of clients in advertising, publishing, packaging, editorial, interior design, brand development.
